Laptop USB Console Login
The KH1508Ai / KH1516Ai can be accessed via a laptop USB console
application (AP) program at the local site. This AP is built into the KH1508
Ai
/ KH1516
Ai’s firmware and does not require a download. To access the switch,
do the following:
1. Use the Laptop USB Console cable included in the package to connect
your laptop to the KH1508
Ai / KH1516Ai’s mini USB port, located on the
unit’s front panel (see Single Station Installation, page 14).
2. The KH1508
Ai / KH1516Ai appears as a virtual drive in the laptop’s file
system. Locate the Laptop AP on the virtual CD ROM and double-click
the ALTUSEN icon. The login screen appears:
3. At the login screen, key in your valid Username and Password, then click
Login. Once you have logged in successfully, the Remote View button
becomes active:
4. Click Remote View to bring up the Laptop USB Console Main Page.
The Laptop USB Console Main Page is similar to the Web Browser,
WinClient and Java Client Main Pages. For a description, see page 62.
